@Laissez Faire Have you tried setting the DOM window to "Always On Top"? This would effectively be the same as integrating DOM with Chart Trader.

Now that you mention it, I believe I did use the DOM locked down in that manner.

Maybe I should put it up again?

I think I took it down because I started to feel it was more of a distraction / stressful than helping my trading.

any pointers for a good software platform that has everything for fast order entry appreciated..as of now the best i have come across is the IB TWS customizable buttons..but their charts and dom trading is not great..although their volume profile on the dom has been found useful in the past..

there might be some VERY good platforms out there that i have not tried yet..hence why i ask..

not what i am looking for..i downloaded TWS and it had saved my config on the server from previous logins..so i have just modified it slightly..but this is the jist of what i will be using..the charts are not the best with TWS..but the chart for the order entry is fine..MT5 can be used for the MTF setup..

we are fortunate to have a plethora of choices when it comes to charting and order entry SW, i don't have a futures account now as i have been absent from trading for a couple of years due to family reasons so i only have an MT4 spot forex and CFD account and the one thing i miss the most is OCO orders

I stumbled on the article a few years ago but the first time I read it, it didn't really resonate. It's only after pouring over this thread, and seeing trading for what it really is (mostly BS), that I realised it provided the answer as to what the "obvious pre-requisite to trading any market" is.

I was trading stocks back in 2008 when a coder said to me, you should get into forex, it's like stocks on steroids. Anyway, I came across a group where one guy said to me: wait here is his quote, "3 wins per week at twice your risk, 500 dollars to-1mil in a year". I was just wondering if anyone could do that on an excel sheet easily. I think he risked 3% per trade. My question is, would it be compounded PER TRADE or weekly or what. And yes, I know that you are not going to win every trade, but maybe in say 4 years? if you stuck to the plan?

if i am not posting it means i am busy..i have my new IB account open and currently putting in some funds and setting up the correct trading permissions..

i have also bought my 4k monitor..exact same model as my Qhd model..but now have a very large screen resolution to put in portrait mode for tws booktrader with volume histogram..yet to set up and add the customized buttons for fast trading..

i am a bit disappointed with The Smalls Futures..but as i am a subscriber and will get 0.07 cent rebate per trade i am going to start trading them..but only with profits from MES trading

i have no interest in FX as the above offers me ample opportunity and more importantly..low risk trades..

do not waste your time on silly and ridiculous things that do not matter..just do what needs to be done..but..if you don't know what to do..then it is OBVIOUS that you are just another "sucker" !!!!!!!!!

i know it was nothing against me..the point is forget about wasting your valuable time on stupid things that are of no relevance..enough idiots on the web today without us adding to their numbers..
