Why Is The Obvious Not So Obvious?

i do not watch friends..neighbours..coronation street..but i was watching PBS America last night..about China !

that period of time before the sun shows itself, but when the great outdoors is already filled with beautiful sounds of nature. The birds that you hear are mainly males. They are doing what male birds do best, protecting/claiming their territory (money) and/or trying to attract a mate (fools).

This was always my thought as well.
Although, I always figured people selling education to retail traders were at the very bottom of the sell-side of things... with the MMs, investment banks(stock/bond markets), salesmen/interbank traders(FX) making the REAL money.
I think, with the recent conversations... particularly the quote attached below and William Tyndale, and the church controlling WHICH information was shown to the plebs, that this was a hint at something visual...
I just was thinking the conversation was an attempt to point out the way WE see information(which I see may not have been the point). I may have been drawing conclusions or misunderstanding the point of the conversation.
if this is so..then what can be so Obvious that "nearly all" people who try..can not make any real use of modern day technology !!!

i had a different thought in mind..
the bird wakes each morning..the bird does not have to deal with the burden of an enlarged brain..and all the associated baggage..so..instead of pointing it's feathery arse to the ground..and it's pointy beak to some point of the compass..or kneeling on it's matchstick legs..and joining it's wings together like a mountain top..it does what it does best..and that is..sing a happy song that it has survived another night..and is now ready to partake in the greatest wonder of the world..another living day..LIFE
how can a newly born cuckoo chick instinctively know to throw the reed warbler's eggs out of the nest..it defies our imagination..and look what the poor silly warblers keep doing..even when they KNOW it can't be the same bird as them !!!!!

Maybe it is because I studied biology, but I do not find what the cuckoo chick and the warbler do surprising, the instinct is a stereotyped behavior encoded in the genes and expressed (and selected over time) as any phenotype.
What is surprising is how we human generally think we do not have stereotyped behaviors (like our cousins, the animals) and are rational beings. If trading has taught me something, it is that we do respond to certain stimuli all in the same way, something that is artfully exploited by the algorithms that are behind big money trading.
Now, wouldn't be wonderful if we could do something about this?
