until such time as you really "see" things for what they are..then.....

for example..take religion..a sore subject for most..why is that so..well..for one thing it may be due to parents bringing up child..my own Mother was very religious..but she was also very ignorant..by that i mean she had no exposure to information in relation to the historical developments of religion..and how it has been used over the centuries..so that the minority in power..can exert their control over the common man..or..pleb

so..there is no god..not unless you have first hand experience in relation to someone you know having come back and "filled you in"..

many will jump up and down when they read something like this..not too long ago i got a serious illness.. didn't know if i would die or stay a bit longer to annoy people..but i am still here and have no intention of going anywhere just yet..

if i had died..so what..i really didn't care..and i didn't worry one little bit about it..

you are born..you live..you die

be kind to all animals..only to humans who are kind to you..screw those in power every chance you get..help those who really are unable to help themselves due to disability or serious disease..not those who are just falling on hard times..

my last daughter is in final year college..prior to covid-19 the college made €7 million profit on student accommodation..bunch of fuckin assholes..no different to the other assholes that are "in power"

What is this thread but an attempt at mentoring...? :)

Note: I didn't suggest anyone should use any of the "mentors" who prey on retail traders and which obviously don't have anything of value to pass on. In fact, I was assuming that the retail trader don't have access to a mentor.

If I remember correctly, Nysestocks said that the Obvious was shown to him. So it seems like maybe he had a mentor. :)

Looks like a good long on the ES here from 4240 by the way.

So admittedly I am a bit slow on the uptake, but I am a bit confused? Is the answer to this question(below) a yes or a no, or was my supposition below off base?

Time = $$$.

Could be interpreted in many ways.

For someone selling options - time certainly is money for obvious reasons.

For a day trader - timing is certainly essential, whether this relates to specific times of the day or merely the timing aspect in general.

For a buy-and-hold investor or even a swing trader time = $$$ as the market seems to rise over time.

So, time = $$$, but not sure if there's anything specific to glean from that quote beyond what I just said. :)

not mentoring..just an attempt to make some aware of things that i have become aware of..and..that just happen to explain why most things are as they are..

once understood..only then can one make an informed decision..my poor mother was ignorant to the history of religion..and the "priest" had as much power in the 1950s to 1960s as the politicians had..but today that is all changed.. mostly due to the "availability" of money and a few other things..though none of them are really any benefit to society as a whole..

Do you refer to religion as a way of controlling people and where the people in power abused religion to oppress people and also where the people subscribing to a religion mostly stopped thinking for themselves?

I'm not sure I view religion as a whole as entirely bad. Certain religions or sub-sets of religions have been worse than others.

A late aunt of mine donated most of her money to some cynical Christian channel which only after her death was accused of scamming elderly people.
 
Just my opinion of course, but I think there may have been a time when religion was a way of controlling people.

But just based on my experience, I don't think that is still the case... at least in first world countries. Actually, nothing even approximating that.

Today that is mostly big-tech, media, government bureaucrats and politicians.

It's not like the church in anyway shaped the response society had towards covid.

That was entirely the aforementioned 3-4 entities deciding what was to be done. And probably in the order listed of most to least influential.

I don't think it matters much for this conversation, as I think the 'religion' concept is being used to make a point, not necessarily to talk about WHO controls society and the plebs today.

so..if you are asking is there a certain way to look at charts..so that you can identify LRT's..i would say the answer..is..YES !
