One thing i've been well aware of from a very young age is how those in charge don't give a shit about the average Joe.the Irish are very smart..not even the Italian mafia can beat them
but..they are run by the same muppets that run all countries..those who are in it for what they can get out of it..and they don't give one little iota about the pleb on the street..which..is why you should screw them every chance you get !!
is your Irish friend in Ireland or elsewhere..as..most Irish who try trading haven't a clue what they are doing..they would be better off chasing a rainbow for the "croc o' gold" buried at one end..thing is..it is always at the end they start with..so they never find it..not in a million years![]()
Ain't that the truth. There are those that believe everything they see and hear from the mass media.
I am sure many other people have had a similar thought at some point. I myself at various points may have had a similar thought, at least that I knew what the obvious was, but eventually in short order I was able to more or less rule it out.Maybe i haven't...maybe what i think is the obvious isn't at all and i'm sure i'm not the only one that thinks this way but the truth is i'd be very surprised if it isn't...

My Irish friend gave up long ago.

Sure but first, i know there are no experts (life experience) just people that know a bit more.Ain't that the truth.

BUt... if you wouldn't mind, just for the sake of discussion, let's just assume you have realized what you need to.
Do you think there is anything in particular that is significant to YOUR life experiences that may have allowed you to see what others may not?
Do you think things like:
...may have had an influence on you?
- intelligence
- socio-economic status
- level of agreeableness
- various trading experiences
- or anything else
Oh Socrates yes he did, what a rare and admirable thing to do..stick to your principles even if it means you have to give up the most precious thing you have.i suppose as we get older..we take a lot of things for granted!
i remember..back in 1987..i met with a foxy haired chap in a suit..and glasses..he asked me was i sure i wanted to put my money into a managed fund..
of course..i said..as if i had a clue about what they were going to do with my money !
it was a nice bit at the time..half the price it cost me to build my house.. would have bought a nice few acres with it..
then..we had the 1987 crash..i think it took me the best part of 10 years to get my money back..not a penny profit..at a time when interest rates were as high as 16%..
what a dumb ass redneck i really was..as thick as 2 planks put together..
those starting out today are no different..everyone thinks that they know everything..when..the reality is that they really know sweet f all
unfortunately..there are no short cuts..for..no matter how hard you try..
"you can never put a young head on old shoulders"
or is it the reverse
it really must have been awful for the likes of Montaigne and Socrates many years ago..knowing what they knew and understood..and knowing that they could really do nothing about it..for..did Socrates not take his own life to prove a point!
Sure but first, i know there are no experts (life experience) just people that know a bit more.
Intelligence ? i don't really know.
I come from low economic status.
High trading experience.
Learned to stick with simple.....simple is best.
I believe there isn't just one obvious, but the obvious ONE thing on a chart has been hinted many times by the author/authors.
Generally when i have failed it is because i thought i was smarter so i went against the obvious, however very occasionally with all the ducks lining up it is possible to jump in very early without confirmation..if that makes any sense.
I have in the past disregarded what everyone else thought was the "right" way to trade and was ridiculed but what i did actually worked, despite going against all the "rules".

The Athenians send to Delphi asking who was the smartest man and the answer came back Socrates !
So they send again asking why is Socrates the smartest man?
and the answer came back : because he says he knows nothing !

So all-in-all, do you have any idea why you may have figured out something that so many others following this material have not?Sure but first, i know there are no experts (life experience) just people that know a bit more.
