Why Is The Obvious Not So Obvious?

If you were to sum up all your points, which of course are correct, what would the simple few words be?
I would use 5 words, and for me, these 5 words have made all the difference in seeing the wood for the trees.
In my very early days, as another nick, I actually started a thread with 4 of the words, the last 4, and I am adding the 5th one here to make it more clear.
I did not realize at the time, the importance of this thread I started, but very quickly did after my big loss one morning, after not getting much sleep the night before

I can't remember if the old thread was on this site, or another, as it was a long time ago, but whichever, as far as I remember, the mods removed it from the main forum and put it in chit chat, or something like that.
Just shows you what a bunch of idiots can get a mod to do, but then again, if the mod runs with the crowd, he is nothing but an idiot also!

It was on Trade2win, referred to as the Zoo by some. The mods there were too thick for my liking. I went into a private forum with a few others that TE set up. He was banned, due to some extent by his use of colourful language on the main forums, which I thought was just tongue in cheek banter to deal with those who choose to disrupt, and in any case amongst adults it shouldn't be an issue, but the main reason was that he was accused by a mod of setting up a scam which was completely untrue.
