Why Is The Obvious Not So Obvious?

Quote from PushPull:

Fuk all you have,
and you stole that.
You can't give away,
what isn't yours,
and you say not to boast?.

You can't make hay,
with what you have,
and I'm glad to see,
that you learned not,
to put butter on your toast.

it looks like ur rhymes are as good as ur trading:D

u see..the difference between TFF and others..is..we all know that we know absolutely nothing..whereas..the idiots actually think they know something:p

if u knew..what we know..never u..again be slow:D

"The UCSC was between Penn and that University on Market. So Ian was just down the street at Penn in my day."
--- Very cool...my father studied with L Kahn at Penn in 1950! He used to say he never worked so hard in his life lol

"What you mention just above are "moves". The moves comprise half a cycle. (the long or short half.)"
---Ok, now I get it... thank you for clarifying!

"I posted a cycle recently in my hand writing, I used the back of a white sheet of paper."
--- Yes thank you, the 17 bars...was studying it

"as we read most postings, it is very clear nothing is at work in a person's mind ordinarily."
---for sure...the mind has to be cajoled into working. My personal feeling is that while computers have great advantages, they can slowly degrade your mind by teaching it habits of passivity....my son is studying Music composition and is teaching himself to sight-read to play any music right off a sheet... he is getting good at it but it took him 2 years of effort...

"Take fifty days of five minute charts and on one weekend make fifty logs, one for each day.
Take just volumes ....."
-- OK Will do!

"Otherwise they just turn out to be blind believers who can't ride bikes more than once in LA traffic blindfolded."
---Hahaha love it!

do u mind if i ask u..what the fuk are ye doing:mad:

i would nearly pay ye to go away:D

now please cop on..before i start cursing again:eek:

Quote from Mysteron:

In the placement of the horizontal lines, is the idea that recent levels tend to form in roughly equal price bands, possibly revealing the buying and selling campaign of the major players over a period of time. TE used to draw levels on charts and also diagonal lines that looked like measured moves but there was no explanation as I recall. Trend lines were never drawn however. I notice that RN drew trend lines recently and I also draw them as it would seem foolish to ignore such obvious features. I've looked at various discussions about trend lines but I've never really been convinced that they are valid or represent anything real, maybe they are just artifacts of the way we think in that we tend to assign significance to linear features. In fact I suspect that if the time scale was transformed in some nonlinear way then the existing trend lines would vanish and new ones would possibly appear. I'd like to know if you have any belief in using trend lines or not.

On another note, I just read the MATRIX thread and was none the wiser what it was about - a cube with diagonals opposing in direction for opposite faces, but then I've never studied GANN. It was interesting to read what elite34s was saying, especially how it was being said. Certain characteristic phrases and combinations of words were already familiar to me - small world isn't it!

at last..an actual post about trading:)

BR mentions THE WIGGLE:)

wiggle wiggle..riddle riddle
where it go..no one know
if u look..into the book
u will see..where it be

time will show..when to go
short or long..is the song
use the box..to save ur sox
always bank..with big THANK:D

u must not hear..what fools do cheer
for they not know..what make it so
unknown to all..there is a small
big secret rare..that make u stare:)

but know this fact..most is an act
of those who see..what want to be
one thing for sure..as with a cure
find the key..and then ur FREE:D

now..many will look at this and see nothing of importance..whilst..others will look and laugh:D

To the Oracle: welcome to my ignore list- attached.. :)
Yes, it's long I know...

To others interested in improving their trading: if you want to get anything out of ET, the ignore list is a wonderful tool.
I used it first when I read a really long thread- I put everyone but the 3 or 4 main people on ignore, and suddenly ET became a useful resource, almost serene. Saved me months too.... I figured that if the contributions were good, they would be referred to by the posters I cared about. And indeed, I have added some people back in if they appear as a reflection that has merit. No doubt I am missing some good contributions (many people are still on the list just because of that thread), but that's OK....

(And, I love to converse with people like Jack. If he were accessible in any other way, I would choose that medium, believe me).

So these days I have a one strike law: one post which I consider a waste of time or offensive or whatever, and you're on the list, never to be seen or heard from again.....time is precious...really no offense intended, and I sincerely encourage you to do likewise!

Good trading,

Good trading,

The Oracle asked a perfectly sensible question....."What the f__ are ye doing?" I think the same things when I read your posts to Jack Hershey. Are you just doing some kind of experiement to see what strange shi$$ Jack will say?

If I went into a coma for 20 years & then woke up and the first thing I did was log into a forum where everyone wrote posts like Jack Hershey's I'd think that the coma either f'd up my brain or that I woke up on another planet.

He may be the nicest guy in the world with nothing but good intentions, and he sure has a lot of information floating around in his head, but those writings are the ramblings of a madman.

Are you honestly learning something from him, or are you just playing a game?

macattack,

I agree with you. But she cannot see what you write - you are on her ignore list. :)

I'd like to recognize & eliminate these "trigger" words. :(

What's a successful, positive word I can use to replace "asshole"?
