Quote from TapeFighter:
When trading, you may be "placing bets" in the immediate direction of the stock price, but without an edge (eg: 50% odds @ 1:1 Risk/Reward) you'll end up losing money due to commissions.
One needs an indication that the odds are stacked in your favor (or against you) before you risk a dime. What is it? Do you look for imbalances in the buy/sell sides on the order book to see where may be temporary support or resistance levels?
TF asks a new, and so he should do
For if answer be true, very happy be you
Comms you must pay, day after day
But they are just, a part of the must
Ignore them you see, for they are but wee
To try and explain, without any pain
I will say a few word, that won't be absurd
When the price go, away from the low
That is the time, that you make a dime
So question is though, where is the low
And to that we all say, many see nay
The secret you see, is not you or me
The little old box, sure will save your socks
Many think I do mess, and be just a jest
But some do well see, that what I mention do be
To see it for you, kick off the old shoe
Look at the show, and picture it so
Some say it is art, some say divine
Others will say, it's cause of the swine
But little they know, the truth it be show
That this thing does chime, but all of the time
