Why Is The Obvious Not So Obvious?

Quote from nysestocks:

Now for some serious words!

Opening your eyes will not win the battle!

The battle will only be won when you "open your mind"!

If you truly open your mind and you are right in your pre-battle work, you will never fight it as they will fight for you (half will even pay for the privilege to fight for you). What a strange business trading is: workers pay for their own wages?

If you find your self wrong, sign a peace treaty quickly. But it is hard to sign a peace treaty---Psychologically hard--- unless it becomes expensive then it strangely becomes not hard to sign.

wow, I spent some time guessing the password for the second pdf, it isnt obvious to me at first :).Now can we have more pdfs? lol

Quote from nysestocks:

Can any of you spare a few dollars to buy the pdf cracker:D

If this chap trades like he posts, then he either has buckets of cash, like Mr Ali Ba Ba :D, or he is one of the ones who has enablers, like Mr Diddley Do Two:D

Why he did not try the obvious?

Quote from Redneck trader:

Hey Boib

We must be neighbors:)

And keeping an open mind is work – too many “experts” want to share their opinion as they “think” they know something worth a damn

Let's keep an eye on it and see where it ends up going

Take Care Sir

We could be nieghbors :)

Did I mention that my mind is open at both ends. Not much is retained.

Quote from swingtrader123:

The obvious true is that you don't know where the market is going after you enter into a trade. You have an idea based on past experiences/model/indicators/etc. but you don't know for certain. All you can do is to manage that position until its time to exit. The market must constantly validate your position otherwise, you need to get out. The use of targets along with the idea of letting your profits run are foolish concepts that will lose you money over the long term. If the market is no longer doing what you expect, get out.

That pretty well covers it......my sentiments exactly. Stosh

Boib,

Do you realize how many would love to have a blessing like this…

Yes maybe you need to have a written set of trading rules in front of you each day as a reminder – but what serious trader doesn’t revisit their rules regularly…

Our goal must be to absolutely ensure our trading method is engrained into our very being.

A fact Sir – We trade who we are – We can do no other

But think about this – if not much is retained then you are truly unencumbered by past performance – AND this is – as it must be for all of us – if we are to succeed at this game

Several loses in a row – no problem – they are immediately forgotten – as they must be … And onward we trade – without any reservation.

Several wins in a row – again – no problem – they also are immediately forgotten – as they must be… And onward we trade – without any reservation.

So they way you wrote this sentence suggests to me you may see it as a hindrance – Please know this – I see it as an absolutely wonderful advantage Sir

Food for Thought

Every profitable trade is independent and unique from every other profitable trade – just as every losing trade is independent and unique from every other losing trade…

So if this is fact (which it is) what is the one single commonality among all trades Sir?

And that commonality – must always approach each trade – as it is the only trade

Yes Sir I concur.
It is only one trade of many.

:)

The commonality I see is the risk I take. It is the only thing I have control over.
