Quote from Mysteron:
OK, an adaptive feedback loop of self improvement, but why the repeated mention of Mrs Boyd or John in this thread?
I'd come to the conclusion that there were no secrets, or rainbows to chase, just simple gambling principles that I understand already, and also personal psychology to master (currently on cycle No. 3), but now you mention secrets.
A simple practical principle that has worked well for me is that faith without evidence is delusional BS.
Boyd did not solve the problem of making money by recommending taking a trade and then seeing how it turned out.
What did he miss?
As a fight pilot trainer he missed how fighting in the air works.
You can't figure this out just like he didn't.
Who cares that the CW of the financial industry just works at a given level of betting performance? I certainly do not.
My job is to frontrun big money.
Fighter pilots DO NOT front run their opponents. See if you can get the broken system of OODA and its betting (which you may not understand since you are NOT the house) staight in your mind. It does not work.
Faith is not required at all.
The evidence is ALL there and irrefutable. BUT it does NOT come from induction.
Try for a moment to prove to yourself that induction does not work. Pretent you are a scientist and you are actually trained in Science.
In making money, Science rules and betting is just the fodder for the Science of making money. PhD physists who work in finance have their heads up their asses.
The obvious is obvious to the Scientific mind.
Nothing is obvious to the betting mind.
Here is one sentence for you to deductively figure out.
Three up/down pairs do NOT work (Boyd and his OODA); only two left/right/left triads will work (the PEP, MADA).
Play geometry and do a proof (deductive) on one page of paper.
