Thanks everyone for your replies. I am a complete novice at this stuff and don't understand everything you posted, but I am glad to have found this forum and it seems like reading here will be quite educational. There sure is a lot to learn; it makes me wish I'd gotten a finance degree. I wonder how many ET members have one, as opposed to how many have taught themselves all of this complexity on their own.

If you can read and know basic math you do not need a degree to become proficient in this business. All you need is determination combined with strict money management and self- control.
