Why is Obama touting a guy who committed a racist, homophobic attack

The point is that Zimmerman did not attack Martin. Zimmerman obnoxiously followed Martin and stupidly confronted Martin verbally. Martin then physically attacked Zimmerman. See how that works?

And you do have the right to walk around your own neighborhood and ask people what they are doing there.

So ZImmerman was just walking around minding his own business when he got jumped for no reason by Martin out of no where?

OP claimed Martin attacked Zimmerman because of his race and that he thought he was a homosexual. that bullshit you are ok with I guess..

What part of 'NOT GUILTY' do you not understand. In court it was testified that Martin made racial slurs and thought Zimmerman was gay before he beat him up.

We can only deal with facts, not feelings.

I forget this case specifically, but remember it happened in Florida.

And Florida has a forcible-felony rider in the lawbooks about using deadly force.

It goes something like this...

If you see someone performing a forcible felony, you are allowed to stop them with deadly force if said deadly force will prevent that perpetrator from seeing through with the forcible felony.

The forcible felony definition is specific IIRC, but the interpretation can lead to vague bits.

For example, a forcible felony would be witnessing someone from one of Florida's private prisons escaping over the wall. Is that a forcible felony? Yes. Are you allowed to use deadly force to prevent it? Technically yes. Realistically, no. Your life is not in danger, so you have no right by law to enforce your right to self-defense, or mitigate the forcible-felony defense since YOU were not in danger.

Now...If that felon escaped over the wall, found a person in a parking lot and started raping them? Then at that point yes, you would be allowed to use deadly force on that person, because they have committed a forcible felony by escaping and now raping someone in public. The forcible felony edict allows you to use deadly force to prevent that aggression upon a bystander.

It is at that point, where the criminal has forced a felony (escaping), and has committed another crime on top that puts another person in danger of their immediate harm or death, that you are allowed to use deadly force to stop said crime.

It is all sticky wickets now, and best left to lawyers.

Let me refresh your memory. The kid has a history of drug use and violent assault. He assaulted Zimmerman because he thought Zimmerman was a cracker and a homosexual. Zimmerman shot him to death. Zimmerman went to trial and was found not guilty.

Its cut and dry, but Hussein Obama wants to re-write history. Obama said Trayvon would look like his son. Of course Obama looks nothing like Trayvon's father, and Michele looks nothing like Trayvon's mother. Obama was essentially making an 'all black people look the same' argument. He is nothing more than a race baiter.

Ahh so that means Zimmerman is justified in murdering him..... got it.

Facts:

Zimmerman had a record of frivolous 911 calls, and a 911 dispatcher told him not to confront Martin, who did nothing wrong but looked “suspicious” to Zimmerman.

Since his trial, Zimmerman has spread racist remarks and flaunted the fact that he got away with the murder...

Zimmerman tweeted photos of Martin’s body, touting the Confederate Flag, and regularly posted racist memes about Barack Obama. Zimmerman has been arrested several times since the trial, mostly for domestic violence disputes.

The law's author, State Rep. Dennis Baxley, says the problem is not with the law, but with how it's being applied.

Baxley says George Zimmerman "is on very thin ice" using Stand Your Ground as a defense in the shooting of Trayvon Martin. "There was nothing in this statute ever intended to protect somebody who was pursuing or confronting other people."

Zimmerman is heard asking during the calls for police to come to his subdivision and check on suspicious strangers, often black. The prosecution argued they should be submitted into evidence because they show his mind-set in the days and months leading up to the shooting.

Who targeted who for race. Martin calling him a "crazy cracker following him" is a racial attack on Zimmerman?

This was never claimed by any party to the case in the court of law, it is completely made up.

What is true is ZImmerman went after Martin when he was told by police to back off:

"About 7 p.m.: George Zimmerman, a 28-year-old neighborhood watch captain, calls 911 to report "a suspicious person" in the gated community Retreat at Twin Lakes. Zimmerman says he is following Martin after the teen started to run, prompting the dispatcher to tell him, "We don't need you to do that." Zimmerman pursues Martin anyway"

What is funny is that you tout being able to pull out a gun and shoot someone if they break into your home or threaten you, but Zimmerman is pursuing this kid who did nothing wrong and Martin defends himself and gets killed for it. Zimmerman gets nothing for disobeying the police. Remember....obey the police and you won't get shot. Disobey the police and you can shoot someone.

No Zimmerman didn't pursue him anyways. When they said "we dont need you to do that" he said "ok" and started walking back to his car. That's when Martin, who was hiding in the bushes jumped out and attacked Zimmerman.
