I bought Ninjatrader I think in 2009, at the time was better for what I required than the old Tradestation I owned, I had to buy a converter for TS due to data companies switched methods and Tradestation stopped supporting it when they went to leasing it instead of selling.
The trouble with NT, they stop supporting at some point the older versions, so best to just acknowledge you going to have to re-do all your indicators. In later years I had own charting and platforms built for more my needs as NT has limitations. The newer version 8 is a bear to program as my partner and I have returned to NT, but if you keep writing to Ninja people, who are programmers and NOT traders, they will eventually help you with your problems. There are over 500 upgrades to NT 8 than 7, they actually listened to their customers needs and only 64 bit I believe available. My partner had up to 120k plus lines of code in NT 7, when we opted to change over to NT8, and now the same code been reduced to 26k lines of code. They went to "units" so you only have to code it once. And once you own it, never will have to pay for upgrades again....
