Why is my backtest overly optimistic?

"Every" is a strong word. -- All one has observed, and all one is likely to observe, however is probably accurate.

But so few real times or end of day do better/good warning.We did see a few weeks this year that had unusual good weeks/up +unusual down weeks. But those % were unusual...………………………………………………………………………………………..
