Let's get to the point. Take a look at the map - the majority of blue states have much higher functional poverty than red states.

Why do blue states have so many people living in poverty? Why aren't the blue states assisting these people more with housing, food, and welfare? It's tragic that blue states have such an obscene functional poverty rates. Over 20% in California! What are all these blue states doing wrong that so many of their residents suffer so?

The reason SPM is high in blue states is because blue states are rich which drives up housing prices which leads to higher SPM.

Don't worry about tragic poverty rates when red states are living in destitute poverty as I already linked even after blue states are taking care of their bills.

There are and will always be low income people in every state, at least California does their best for them using their own money instead of leeching some other state for welfare. Simple question, why are the most impoverished states Republican if you guys are so good with your economics? Why are Mississippi and Alabama so impoverished? Can you show me examples of red states with low rate of poverty which can serve as examples to blue states?
