Why is Argentinas stock market doing so well since 2012?

inflation... There is nowhere to go in Argentina, people there can't buy dollars... Check the "blue dollar" quote. Real estate is going "great" as well!
 
Gringo has it correct..... Argentina has had massive inflation in recent yeas. When that happens, asset prices, including company stock, real estate, etc have massive inflation too (typically).

This is certainly the case for Argentina.

its true Argentina has had some socialism, debt defaults......... WSJ rebuked the people ; too many want to retire @ age 55/+.To compare commies to Argentina[ somewhat socialist recently],is like saying my friendly pet bull/black angus is like a a charging she black bear.No offense intended ; you asked.

i would say there is a number of reasons for this. but one that no one seems to mention is the growth of china. if you look at the AIA index, china started to stabilize and take off after 2012. or after they went from a commodity producing economy to a manufacturing country.

this impacts Argentina and Latin American countries because if china has stopped focusing on commodities and is now buying them to manufacture goods, countries like Argentina are left to produce commodities are going to see the benefits because china is buying commodities from Latin American countries. now we have more trade going on between arguably the second biggest world economy and Argentina, this can naturally boost up Argentina economy.
