Why iPhone to cause AAPL to tank

here is my opinion only...why iPhone will cause AAPL to tank over time...
1-Way overpriced for the average consumer
2-Average consumer has no need for all the "bells and whistles"
3-Inflated price and huge back-up of inventory creates...devaluation of AAPL stock...

I would say short now and cash in...what do you think??

1- Apple is not targeting the "Average" consumer
2- Refer to #1
3- apple won't have much inventory after the techno geek's shopping craze
 
#1 and #2 are definitely personal opinions... and I know plenty of people who waited in line to be the first to get one.

Something that may lead to your short sale idea is that all of the services are not yet available and you MUST use AT&T. (I think that's the carrier). Also, I think I heard that the screen is made of glass, so you better not drop it.

Yes. There are a lot of people with a lot of money to spend on the newest toy and they will. That all said I think that AAPL is in its own little mania and it'll end ugly.
 
think about it though...does not the "free" phone pitch swallow up way more subscribers?..or do you see the iPhone heading the way of "free" phones some day?...again, that would dilute the iPhone value and AAPL stock would decline...
 
iphone is hype.....enough already, I saw it and could care less....I still have my nokia smartphone that makes phone calls just as good as the iphone...

And the worst part is that for all the hype it is still an ordinary phone.
