Evidently you don't remember that inflation was above 18%, and interest rates above 20% under Jimmy Carter. Under Carter we has something called the "misery index", which was the total of the unemployment rate and the inflation rate. It hit almost 22% under Carter, a record in the modern Presidency. LOL.
Maybe there's just a little bit of a doubt eh?
