Because Macs suck. No, seriously. They are way overpriced. The EULA is ten times as restrictive as MSFT's. There's absolutely no benefit to using a Mac other than one being driven by marketing hype. And as you have pointed out, there's no software. And the software it does have gets outdated everytime a new OSX comes out. Then you need to buy a whole new piece of hardware just to update flash player. I'm completely dumbfounded as to why people buy them.
The solution is simple. Buy a PC. It's a better reason than buying a new Mac because you need to update flash player.

Investor RT is the best thing available to mac users. Thinkorswim has issues. You can do what I do and boot your mac in windows mode. Macs actually run windows faster than PCs so there is no downside to this.
No, it doesn't. Some Mac's have better specs than some PC's. Some PC's have better specs than some Mac's. It all depends on the hardware. I can guarantee you that I can build a faster PC for half the price of any Mac.

A comparable mac will run windows faster than a pc. It is because the Mac OS is built on top of unix rather than DOS. I'm not saying its worth the markup but the guy already has a mac so...
