At the time when George Soros was using OSF to support the legitimate purpose to eliminate oppressive Communist governments many people (including myself) supported him.

Soros has now turned the OSF into a weapon targeting the U.S., U.K. and western democracies -- sowing discord and divisiveness. He is deliberately attempting to undermine the values of our democratic and capitalist nations to fuel his own vision of the world. The problem, as a billionaire, is that he is not promoting his agenda by the proper process of funding candidates and PACS who support his vision, but is pushing is vision by funding groups focused on promoting riots in our streets, attacks on cops, civil disobedience, and other criminal activities. This is not acceptable.
 
Soros fights nationalism and promotes one world govt. Why?
Its easier and cheaper to control and dominate.

Naturally his open society foundation only supports groups that have goals that are aligned with the open society foundation goals. The alignment is seldom perfect however. The OSF is remarkable in its hands off approach. They support with funds, but they do not micromanage, nor insert their own leadership. The Groups supported are permitted their own mistakes. Sometimes things go awry, and the result is different than what was hoped for. Support can be, and has been, withdrawn in those cases. The Foundation is certainly not focused on "brewing discord and divisiveness," but naturally it will be difficult to fight totalitarian governments while remaining their "friend!" If you know of productive ways to effectively fight tyrants without discord and divisiveness arising, I am certain the OSF would like to hear from you. Why not write the Director and Board with your suggestions.

There is much good literature available on the OSF should you have a sincere interest in finding out what their focus is. Your impressions are simply a reflection of the, at least partial, success of concerted efforts to impugn the OSF by attacking its Founder. You can understand why totalitarian governments are active in trying to discredit Soros, and by extension the OSF. Soros's name is known everywhere; the OSF is not. Soros, these days, is not directly active in day to day activities of the OSF. But he remains the Foundation's benefactor and guiding light.

Soros traditionally presents his thoughts on the present state of world affairs in a popular presentation to the Economic Forum at Davos. It's a popular and well-attended talk eagerly waited by the forum participants. This year was no different. May I invite you to look it up on You Tube. In my opinion, this year's address may prove to be the most important address he has presented not only at the WEF, but in his lifetime.
