Quote from jem:
morality comes from empathy?
I see so much empathy coming from such progressive places as the USSR and China? Progressive men leading the way to equality and Godlessness. [/QUOTE

Human rights violated is from forcing people to not have freedom to speak. For example when people force to accept all in the bible is true, or all in the manifesto is true. And if someone speak against that they want to kill them or put them in jail.
So religion and communism can be very evil in some parts if that.
For example here.
"Lysenko was admitted into the hierarchy of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, and was put in charge of agricultural affairs. He used his position to denounce biologists as "fly-lovers and people haters," and to decry the "wreckers" in biology, whom he claimed were trying to purposely disable the Soviet economy and cause it to fail. Furthermore, he denied the distinction between theoretical and applied biology."

Here too.
"In February 1616, although he had been cleared of any offence, the Catholic Church nevertheless condemned heliocentrism as "false and contrary to Scripture",[10] and Galileo was warned to abandon his support for itâwhich he promised to do. When he later defended his views in his most famous work, Dialogue Concerning the Two Chief World Systems, published in 1632, he was tried by the Inquisition, found "vehemently suspect of heresy," forced to recant, and spent the rest of his life under house arrest."
