When you see that old lady in the nursing home that no one comes to visit.

She was the one who used her kids for nefarious purposes at an early age.

that's less stupid than rhetorical ...

but what's more stupid, a question you already know the answer to, or one that invokes the irrationality that only a woman scorned can conjure

EDIT: Clearly the person asking the "believe in science" question doesn't know the answer prior .... I'm afraid, you're contribution, while very amusing falls way short of The-Stupidest-Question-of-all-Time... asking a pointed rhetorical question, is anything but stupid .. although if your gauge is purely in terms of personal consequences, we could create a new category of stupid question specific to these
