((can you take a humorous joke))

I've never known a women to be reserve and quite about ANYTHING~!

Hey, glad to know there's more than just us jocks out here. Not sure whether that changes the dynamic of the markets or not, but glad to know there's more than just us guys out here.

Thanks for ruining perfectly fine moronic male thread. :)

I was rather enlightened by the comments that women can’t trade due to absence of balls.

What makes me worried though is the fact that sometimes I don’t have the balls to enter a perfectly good trade. What dos that make me – a trading eunuch? :(

" "YOU SEE, there you go again, JACK, you're such a Boy Scout! You mean you don't have one of these? Its a get outta jail pass.... I do not recollect Senator, common, practice with me, I do not recollect Senator" "

Miki, now you see, there you go again.....

Hey, glad to know you(s) guys are here trading with us too.

Amen to that. (lol)
We need some women in here to keep things from getting out of hand (like Dennis Koslowski's expenses).

Even today, we must have a college degree to make what most high school male graduates do, thus putting off by 4-5 more years of earning a living and during that time incurring a debt that must be repaid, leaving little left to spend on things as speculative as trading. I do not think this is something to be overlooked when tackling this subject.

I think, that if this forum were more open to what women had to say about trading and trading discipline, that all parties viewing such discussions would benefit greatly. We all have different ways of looking at the world that are not easily bound by traditional world views and as such provide an excellent opportunity for self-improvement. If we (women) did not feel that every post we attempted to make that may be worthwhile were just going to be degraded into another sexist or immature remark, then you too would see that it is not really a matter of there not being many of us out there, but that it's a matter of us not being known to the rest of you.

Toni,

Lighten up. That feminist nonsense is a good 15 years out of date. Wage disparities? How about all the guys who get screwed by affirmative action? Women catch extra breaks in all the professions, universities, government jobs and big business now. And why should that worthless degree in Feminists Studies entitle you to more pay than a man (or a woman) with a high school degree doing honest work? Talk about more elitist nonsense.

Worried about being "degraded" by sexist or immature replies? Oh, I'm so sorry. Maybe we could get a PC censor here to make sure no one is offended. I've found that the posters here are very fair, and are able to separate substance from garbage. Welcome to the real world.

We are out there and our numbers are growing. We may not be very active on message boards, but do think about it... Why would anyone willingly subject themselves to commentary such as the majority of posts here. We have a lot of obstacles to overcome. We are still fighting for equal pay for equal work. Actually, this is a large reason there have been so few female traders until recent years. Simply put, few women had the money to afford to trade. Not because we spend it all either. In actuality many of us are extremely thrifty and seriously... how many of you grew up in homes where your mother ran the household? Do you think that would be an easy task? Especially when they were never even given a wage to handle that full time job? Even today, we must have a college degree to make what most high school male graduates do, thus putting off by 4-5 more years of earning a living and during that time incurring a debt that must be repaid, leaving little left to spend on things as speculative as trading. I do not think this is something to be overlooked when tackling this subject.

In recent years, however, things have turned around. More and more of us are beginning to earn higher wages and are getting hired into higher positions that, even 10 years ago, we could only dream of. Thus, we have seen a surge in the number of female traders in recent years. We face the same difficulties our male counter-parts do in overcoming our emotions to trade rationally and thus profitably. In mentoring I have found little difference between the sexes in how emotionally they react to the strains of trading. At first, I did find this interesting. I did expect women to react more with weeping and men with violent outbursts (broken monitors and like). Ironically, while I've never met a women that has broken any of her trading equipment, I've meant a great many distraught male traders. I think that on this note, the aforementioned myth can quite quickly be dispelled.

I think, that if this forum were more open to what women had to say about trading and trading discipline, that all parties viewing such discussions would benefit greatly. We all have different ways of looking at the world that are not easily bound by traditional world views and as such provide an excellent opportunity for self-improvement. "Another question is why didn't all the women you speak of come in and have fun with us? " - Don Bright666

Sitting behind a computer screen, we presently have the luxury of turning on and off the horrid and hateful remarks we've heard all of our lives. If this really the way you would like to see your mother, your sister, your daughter treated? It is not fun to come in and be cut down. We get our kicks from taking our gains from you guys in the market =) This thread is not a two-way street. It has more of a mob mentality going to it. Ironically, it turns on someone that actually had something worthwhile to say on the subject. When you've worked somewhere where your ideas are overlooked and only taken seriously when a member of the other sex agrees, or are in a workplace where it is commonplace for you to be harrassed as you are the only male and thus the person all the women in the company aim degrading remarks and complaints at and this is how you are treated most of the time and you can actually call that fun... well then maybe, just maybe, you can say I am wrong.

More whiny victimhood crap. These were jokes. I grew up with sisters, and let me tell you (as you know I'm sure) that women talk just as much trash about men!!! Moreover, I know what it is to be maxed out in debt and not know how I was going to pay rent. I had great grades and recommendations, yet couldn't even get a stinking interview for a good period of time. Meanwhile, I saw plenty of women with less talent and mediocre grades get good jobs right out of college. It sounds as though you have a serious complex. In addition, you say that there are plenty of women, and that women could shed some light on this thread. Yet, you say that women don't want to be "subjected to 'hateful' comments." Well guess what, if women participate in this thread in the numbers you suggest they can, they will have just as much voice as the men. So quite your sniveling!!

face it, they (categorically) want it both ways! You can't say noth'in, and you can't think noth'in, unless they give you permission.

hey, its like I said before, us guys need somewheres to go too, and evidently, this continues to be the place. This guilt that you want us to take on is TLTC (too late to cancel), sorry!

I was actually thinking the exact same things!! I decided not to bother addressing too many issues, including that one, but it's probably for the better that you did!

Norske Trader
I want to remind you, what guys say on this thread goes on on national scale against us. The difference is, this ranting here has no political consequence.

I see how you men are. It's exactly why I find the most gullible men (not hard to do), I date them and I take them for every cent I can. I can't trade worth a lick, so what! I meet plenty of male traders and I'll use and abuse several at once, living better then many of them. The bottom line is, you can't talk all the trash you want but I have a pussy, and that means I call the shots!! Do you have any idea how many guys will spend 1/2 their day's net on me after I rock their worlds for an hour (or 2 minutes in some cases). Do I cry sometimes when the MMs take advantage of me? Sure! Do the guys cry when I dump their ass as soon as they hit a bad month and lose most of the money in their account, you betcha!!! I love it! Some of them have been nice guys, and I feel a little bit bad. Some of them may even turn into assholes, but feeling righteous doesn't pay the bills! Now who's laughing!
