Why dont Americans come to Europe to trade

"Why dont Americans come to Europe to trade"

Because every town and city in Europe looks different and they wouldn't be able to handle that :)

I'm half joking folks. Was in the US myself last week (hadn't been for 15 years) and loved it, big car, big roads, so easy to get around, but it was all the same.

traderslair pls stop trolling.
europe and the US are both pretty safe if you use a little bit of common sense and stay out of the lesser neighbourhoods.

No you stop living in your dream and get out more. You are just talking crap, times have changed. We're not 1999 anymore.

Immigration and socialism killed Europe.

eh?
travelled to a lot of countries in europe and states in US the last 20 years
always encountered friendly people

USA is more friendly than EU.

You can do this in the US too. Choose your market. US, Europe, Asia. Whatever you want to do you can do. A decent prop firm will give you access to any market you can make money in. Some of them want you to live in that country, especially if you trade for a big bank, but there are definitely opps with prop. A number of my trading buddies trade the international exchanges. Some people just don't want to get up at 6am so they trade a different country's markets or they love the volatility of the HSI, for example.

If you ask me, you can't beat the American markets, mostly because of the liquidity. I've gotten burned on some thin instruments.

Quote from Bear Trader:

2 great trading opportunities. Trade European markets in the morning from 8am - 11am and then go have lunch with hot women, play golf, gym, a walk in the park, fed the ducks .... and them come back 2pm and kill the American Markets.

Even those who just want to trade US stocks can do so from 2pm and finish at say 8pm. What's not to love about those trading hours.

There are some good prop firms here in the UK, some specialist Futures firms with tax free options.

You guys should break your cycle and spend some months in Europe or other countries and parts of the World and trade. Come on! You only live once!!

The grass is always greener on the other side.

I had two clients go over from the States to Gibraltar to check it out - their conclusion was less than stellar. Original intent was to gain a better timezone setting in terms of their quality of life. It now appears that their quality of life stays on the East Coast.

Europe is very nice, even better in the Eastern parts. Only takes an hour+ by plane for a nice beach destination and to be in a completely different country.

I think if you like the European culture, Montreal is the next best thing (but no beaches). There's plenty of trading firms.
