Why does it rain on every Memorial Day?

Care to elaborate? Joy and renewal over what? Someone else's death, especially those who died for their country? That would be an oxymoron, don't ya think?
Well, if what the article states is true, namely that Trump (as a president) called fallen vets "losers", that is frankly pretty deplorable.
No. Just sayin that one can project on to something whatever they want. And in general rain is often seen as a sign of renewal, so I would not automatically associate it with grieving.
Where I live it rains almost 240 days a year. The tourists come for the rain forests, and then are surprised to see that it rains a lot. Well, duh. A lot of them think that it must be because God hates them and he/she/it apparently does not seem to understand that they are on vacation. Probably not.

Anyway, I find it strange it always rains on Memorial day, even though it might have been sunny the day before.The PGA said it didn't want compete with the Indianapolis 500, but many on inner circles close to Jack Nicklaus say he requested The Memorial Tournament be shifted to the first week of June for this very reason. As I recall, damn near every year that thing went into Monday or Tuesday because of rain.Where I live, it rains on Memorial Day every year. As far as I can remember, it has always rained on that day. What about you? Is it because even Mother Nature grieves over all her deceased sons and daughters?
But the plot thickens. They say when Nicklaus built that golf-course they uncovered an Indian cemetery, or some famous chief's grave, and no pun intended, they covered it up. I don't know if that's true or not, but I remember reading that the locals say that's why it always gets rained out.
