Just to clarify my rant, @Millionaire I was not ranting at you specifically, but just at the idea that there is a general idea that there are trading secrets. There are none. Bleh.

But there are, eg. how does a fund like Rentec Medallion consistently pull out more than $5 Billion a year out the markets.
Numbers that no other hedge fund can so consistently pull off.
Maybe there is no one big secret, but the secret is how you put together lots of other knowns and combine them to create something very special and unique.

You know what I am doing man. Scalping my damn ass off everyday man.
The algo is scalping too. I only build/test scalping algo trading systems to hurry up and scale up fast to big contract size and try to make big money really really fast. Swinging algos take too long to scale up, and big drawdown if market conditions go flat

I read most of their strategies are short term, hold for a few days. Although they have longer ones as well.
I'm not sure if that is true or fake (diversion) info.

Algo is the most important word. I am sure they have about XX programmers in the company that can quickly test every trading idea known to man.
Can you imagine owning a company where you have XX programmers and XX traders and everyone does all day is
1. Think of trading ideas to make money
2. Program the idea
3. Validate the idea
Beautiful job indeed.
Us retail traders major disadvantage is no time to test all trading ideas.
