Van Susteren asked if the Nuclear Regulatory commission had granted an export license, and Barrasso said that it had not – he had asked the NRC to alert him if a license request was submitted.

I am forced to agree with this. It's my biggest concern as it looks like Trump is building a cabinet of fat cats for fat cats. Of course, there is the smaller possibility he is doing this because he wants experts in order to dismantle the system, but I don't have high hopes.
I'm long on banking and media (because I sure as hell can't keep myself from reading the news now). Defense too because I'm pretty sure we'll be going to war. When the next housing bubble pops from the upcoming deregulation and resulting leveraged default swaps you can probably pick up property on the cheap after having shorted banks. As the tax payer picks up the bill on another bail out, hold something other than dollars.

I think more war is inevitable across the globe no matter who was elected U.S. President. There are many flash points for conflict across the planet (South China Sea, etc.) with multiple countries arming up and getting more strident.
I was long on defense w/Hillary too because I was sure NATO would prevent Russia from any further land grabs, plus the fear would always be there, and just like 2nd amendment scares, speculation can be a winning strategy. Now as you point out, S. China sea is an issue. Russia could too if Trump is big enough to admit he's being hoodwinked.
Hillary would've probably kept pressuring w/sanctions (which were tanking the ruble enough to make Putin take action this election). More than likely she'd follow Obama's strategy like he did in Libya now w/Syria.
I don't like this either. But I too hold slim hopes. Hopes that he not only IS richer than he needs/desires, but that he actually KNOWS this at his core. Hoping that he really wants to be the smart power guy that breaks the fat cat system WITHOUT DESTROYING HIMSELF and US in the process. He's just drunk enough on power to try it! This means (slim hope) he needs the insiders to out-think big banks, Fed, politicians, and others because as the noose tightens around them they will lash out. I know, I know... pipe dream.
