Why does Hamas fire rockets?

Quote from Mercor:

You make another good point about bumbling Palestinian politicians.
They make terrible Lobbyists. It must be the message, the money, or the cause, but the Palestinians can not seem to get any support from the US.
Maybe they need to study and learn from the Jews how to build a successful society with American political support.

You mean by killing women and children and like ghouls invading familie's homes and throwing them all out. Does your beanie's propeller get bent when it bumps up against the wall?

I think he meant killing 200 terrorists in about 5 minutes. Oh, and please accept my condolences, it must be painful to lose so many comrades in one day. Rest assured that that's how they wanted to die and that they are all having a good time with their virgins just about right now.

LOL. It's like <A href="http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&postid=2109641#post2109641">Wally World at EliteTrader</a> all over again.

Looks like day two brings another 100 Palestinian terrorists killed.
This long year is ending on a very positive note.

Nice. Except of course it all happened in the opposite order. First you refuse the partition, don't recognize their right to exist, invade their country several times trying to drive them into the sea, murder their civilians, women and children in cold blood, fire hundreds of rockets every day at their towns and villages...

Oh please. The UN partition was an unenforceable farce from a geographical and logistical standpoint. The proposed borders made no sense (you can't have a Palestinian country that's broken into unconnected pieces). England's Balfour used the promise of a partition as a bargaining chip to acquire Jewish financial support in his war against the Ottoman Empire. Even the United States believed the partition couldn't work. The jewish leader, Ben Gurion, was also against it and told his staff that a partition was only the first step towards the creation of a unified Jewish state. He was prepared to fight for the creation of Israel and was willing to provoke the Arabs, knowing that he had a small army at his disposal. The Palestinians were herded into a no-win situation. The establishment of Israel would have happened with or without Palestinian acceptance of a two nation state.

Israel created the mess in the Middle East. They are not the victims. They will reap what they sow.

The Israelis bombed police stations filled with innocent policemen and they killed women and children. And maybe they got 2 or 3 Hamas members. The missiles fired from Gaza were ineffective and Israel responds with overexcessive force. And then they wonder why the cycle of violence won't end.

Well, while no UN action or resolution is usually enforceable, this one was. Guess what, Israel enforced it. Isn't that exactly what you're whining about?
