Arbitrage. Certain HFT strategies. Trading on information rather than price noise most of the time. I could go on and on.
Ok. I'll put this question in different frame. If TA works so well why all TA traders are not millionaires?
Some TA does work all the time. But why ET mooks think somebody is going to (or worse, is supposed to) just give them such valuable knowledge for the asking (or worse, the demanding) is a great mystery. Or it would be a mystery if mooks weren't always doing stupid shit like expecting something for nothing.
For all you naysayers whining about how TA doesn't work -- you're right, TA doesn't work ... FOR YOU. You don't deserve the TA that works, So enjoy your pile drivers or whatever other sad-sack substitute you cling to. GL

Show me another way to become a millionaire using proper money management with an average account size of say $50,000 (I have no idea what average account size is, but let's assume). Ball in your court mate
Putting your money into a savings or checking account, and collecting whatever Peanut Rate it pays -- this is basically guaranteed all the time.
...it all comes back to the Risk vs Reward spectrum.

Nothing works 100% of the time which is why you will not find large consistent numbers of TA, FA or Price Driver traders as millionaires. Trading is difficult no matter what tools you use and most traders on here doing well are NOT millionaires from trading. Mostly from running a trading business or selling trading products.
I think it is a pretty ignorant display of debate to challenge someone by asking "Well if X works, why are all users of X not millionaires?" Because it is a tool, not a magic ball. Nothing you use will make you a millionaire, it is all on how you trade.
It is a false argument to ask for millionaires to proof a system works. I am sure there are plenty of TA and FA traders making good money due to risk management, experience understanding the market and trade management with TA or FA as a tool to assist them in interpreting the data they are analyzing. Also try and be a little intelligent about this. For every guy who claims something does not work, there is someone making money with it as a tool, not as a black box trading system.
