Why do supposed humanitarians need so many weapons?

Smoke bombs, gas masks, knives, rods and a whole assortment of improvised weapons found on board. I think its also safe to say that those slingshots and bottle of rocks for ammo didnt happen to just be laying around on the ship. The flotilla WANTED a fight.

First rule. If you beat or stab or otherwise hurt another human being and it was pre-meditated you can not call yourself a humanitarian.

I agree, if they were going to try to create make shift weapons out of seemingly innocuous items to make themselves appear as innocent martyrs they probably would not have filmed it and it wouldnt be on you tube right now, i would be shocked if this was deemed as real in the coming days. Also if they had planned to make these weapons in advance there is no doubt in my mind that they would have also wanted to take down as many israelis as possible in the fight with these fake weapons, yet not one israeli soldier died.
