Here's a copy of the mornings' early action ... juxtaposed with the usual skillless trading by MarketSurfer, orginal comments on the Surf Report ... :p :

ha, that was fast--stopped out with loss on daytrade.

dropping very fast, will enter on channel parameter break.

flat here.
Quote from JimmyJam:

LOL, the trend has been down from the Open, and you've missed out on 3 huge Sell signals.

I think that death channel thingy needs an overhaul.

JJ

P.S. The above information was in part determined using constant range charts, along with (real) proprietary analysis ... but please keep the comic strip going, it's just too much fun! :D

lovely, JJ.

must be nice to make calls after the fact, selectively edit my thread ( trade was daytrade, nonsystem, small size), and be anonymous. at least p.logic is man enough to reveal his identity--instead of throwing stones from the safety of being totally unknown and unaccountable.

... while Surf was over here blathering, it seems that he's missed out on the entire mornings move ... here's the exchange ... and a version of the chart that I used to scalp the drop all the way down ... cheers!

LMAO :D ... BTW Surf, are you getting some of this yet?

Or has your neo death channel still not signaled a trade ... oh I know, "you got short 50 pts higher. :p

And as far as T-Dog is concerned, never seen him trade so I have no idea what he's even doing here. :D :D :D

Good trading,

JJ

the YM is holding directly above the lower channel line @ 12997. i am not expecting a breach, but will trade mechanically should it occur.

ps. remember a touch is not a breach, staying flat here
Quote from JimmyJam:

Thanks for the response. A system that misses out on a smooth 200pt drop in the YM definitely ain't for me.

JJ

P.S. Yep, you guessed it. Constant Range Bars

... speaking of accountability, if YOU show us your brokerage statements for just the past year (2007 YTD) showing how profitable you are or are not, I'll PM you my name and a number where I can be reached.

We can have a drink and a good laugh.

I honestly think you're paper trading in your Journal, and then coming over here and talking all kinds of trash to PL and everyone else. But if you aren't, if you're really suffering through those intense drawdowns, getting blown out of position after position and constantly watching your profits vanish into thin air when you do make a profitable trade, while you churn your wheels on ET, and you're doing this with REAL MONEY, I most definitely want to buy you a drink.

Good trading guys,

JJ

I've read through most of the thread but most everything seems to be geared toward Futures,

How do I apply tick setting to QQQQ and SPY?
You just pull them up and start experimenting with the volume/range bar settings until you like what you see.

The type of chart you need to see will depend on your individual style of trading.

If you have any questions, just post the chart and look for input.

It's a long journey, but it's worth it.

Sincere good luck to you.

Price movement is read the same on any chart whether its a Futures market or a single stock. Oe just has to lay out the chart to fit their personal trading style (trade length).
