One number is not superior to another. The number is chosen based on ones style and holding period. I personally trade on short term basis and therefore have small volume bar size.

I also prefer volume bars to tic becuase the signals are seen on them much clearer. If somene sends few large orders (let's say 3) into the market, they will be peresented in tic charts as just 3 trades. Where volume bars, the chart can paint several bars thus letting you know that something is going on.

My understanding is that ProfLogic is not saying that one is better than another.

Only that they cover different timeframes. Pick the one that covers the timeframe that you like most.

The perfect squares is a way of spacing them out and keeping them consistent with each other so that parameters can be kept the same.

Right?

Not superior...just different.....is a daily bar superior to an hourly bar?...is a weekly bar superior to a daily bar?....is a monthly bar superior to a weekly bar??

There is no correct answer regardless of whether we talk about ticks or time....

Trading styles and preferences determine which is "best".....

when an intelligent person pretends to be dumb, you have no choice but to reevaluate your previous assessment.

p.logic trading transcends time and he uses a certain tic number bar, therefore, obviously, he believes this number of tics is superior to any other number of tics. hence my earlier question..... i did not anticipate difficulty in understanding the question.

As you state the question differently each time, it isn't surprising there are misunderstandings.

BTW...Prof Logic doesn't use tick charts so regardless of how you ask it, there is no answer.

Speaking of obfuscate, are you not familiar with the term volume bar or do you just refuse to use it?

Some people use fib numbers in the misguided belief that there is some hidden order to the trading universe. Others do it to fit a certain amount of data onto screen real estate or to smooth out price display.

yes, you are very wise daniel.
