Tick chart settings I have used (use) and/or know of:

1,3,5,8,10,13,20,21,30,34,50,55,74,75,89,100,108,126,133,144,150,191,233,250,300,377,500,610,750,
987,1000,1500,1597,2584,3000,4181,5000,6765,10000.

They all work.

I notice that you left out 1363.
Is this just an oversight or have you had a bad experience with this one?

Well spotted, actually it was the 1250, and the good ol one triple three, but it's been a while since i've used them.

Well, I guess that we have milked this subject for all it is worth and so onward and upward.
Pretty much what the ES has been doing for the last 30 minutes.

In my experience, I find that most Tick Chart traders had a run in
with a tick out in a grassy field when they were kids.

Therefore, the fascination with Tick Charts.

One needs only to spend a little time to learn the specific definitions of Minute Bar, Tick Bar and Volume Bar charts to understand the difference in them. A little more time and you will discover what makes one a noisey mess, one a noisey aggravation and one a clear and quiet day in the park.

A 380 tick chart is good too........ 19.5 X 19.5 = 380.25 (380 is good enough :) ).

Also the 330 tick chart (33.0 X 10.0 = 330).

Don't ask me why 19.5 and 33 are VERY significant numbers.

Hoagland sure thinks they are.
