why do people here hate this guy?

You sister was unavailable; saving herself for you. Met the wife after the RAES arb.
Sister jokes huh?:D Oookay.
Back to this heated driveway thing.
So you live in your in-laws basement?
Come on Hans... I thought you were supposed to the money guy.

The RAES arb was much bigger. The first week was over a mil. RAES provided retail FIFO up to 20-lots. We had priority as long as we traded retail. The average edge was $0.14 ($14 per contract).

Peterffy funded the attorney's to fight the disgorgement and the case was dropped in discovery.
The cboe and occ claim Cathedral Trading made over $100 million on this arb. Did cancel fees kill this arb off?

No; me, wife, kids. In-laws live 2K miles away.

There were zero cancel fees.

The arb was killed off approx ten weeks after I noticed it, when enough MMers complained to the OCC about the lack of a halt when mkts were crossed. So from roughly May to early August of 2000. Met my wife in September of 2000.

Was that Putnam's firm? They did go after them as they violated RAES (being pro). The OCC dropped it after they were shown I was trading a personal account and not in violation of RAES. The OCC attorney's pushed for "professional discipline" or words to that effect; stating that it was an concerted attempt to exploit an arbitrage that would not "naturally occur" and that I had automated it -- well, no shit.
