Why do people call Manson a Murderer? He didn't technically kill anyone.

I always wondered about this. He is in jail for life for murders he didnt do. He didnt have the stomach to kill someone so he told others they should do it. Yes the guy is crazy, but a murderer? Its odd that people think he should be convicted of murder because he said someone should kill those people. Just look at the comments in the yahoo article and how many people say Manson should be killed instead of being in jail. By the same logic, if someone read those yahoo comments and decided to kill manson...couldn't all those yahoo users be charged with murder? It's the same thing, right?
 
Peil, maybe you could tell the parol board that if they let him out he would be welcome to come live with you.

Well okay , just recognize that by the same standards you've set Hitler technically was not a murderer either.

Is that a good thing ? . . . to wonder about something for so many years and not arrive at some sort of conclusion, either way . :( .
