Why do newbies lose?

I'm just curious.

What valuable lessons did you acquire as you progressed from being a novice trader to one who consistently turned a profit?

I can start with a few ideas that could be newbie's mistakes:

- Starting with real money too soon rather than practicing with a demo account
- Ignoring Risk Management
- Chasing Losses by high-risk trades
...

Please feel free to drop your own experience.

Trading a losing system! The markets change enough that all trading systems traded are unprofitable in the long run.

What's interesting about this is, you can be the most morally and ethically reprehensible person, but you use an automated greeting and be very polite and you can get away with even more. A true lesson in Social- psychology.

chatGPT will do that for you but won't trade 100-ES futures for you.

I think it's not good form to encourage SML, You can see from his posts that he doesn't have a moral or ethical character/personality. Instead of learning morals and ethics, he learnt that being overly polite allows him to get away with it.

As another Poster said "he's repellent to successful Traders". It's unfortunate people like SML are in Society, let alone destroying every Trading thread and a Forum.

@SimpleMeLike may have very strong opinions and often expressed them in flowery languages.

Some of us, especially @taowave tried very hard to help but hey, he has every right not to accept.

SML has said, if he deals drugs he goes to Jail, so he trades the ES.

SML wants $2 million from the U.S Gov for racism towards African Americans in the past. Yet SML is an Immigrant to the U.S.

SML has said he plays the Race card at every opportunity to get ahead.

SML hunts Deer, owns attack Dogs and Guns.

SML spends his spare time trying be the Gangstar.

He won't pay the price to become a good Trader but comes in here, destroying most Trading threads, biting the Hand that teaches him.

SML comes from an extended Family, has a College education and a good Job. How many disadvantaged African Americans have that.

SML has said repeatedly if he discovers a successful way to Trade he won't teach anyone
