OK if you need hand-holding, I like to wait for a highest high then subsequent pullback to enter either on a test of a lowest low bar back end or a violation of a lowest low high (front end) bar, the opposite for a short entry in the current short-term trend direction. Reverse of this for short entries LOL. Buy / sell pullbacks in trending price. Of course, it is much preferable to have trend lined up on the short-term as well as longer term 15m and 60m charts, not always present say mkt sells off hard, and bounces off intraday lows with a severe V-bottom and runs for over a hundred (NQ) points straight up etc. I have been known to just market order in right at a hard sell-off bottom just to see if price retraces a good ways back up immediate swing low (60m bar overlap), which happens at least a couple times a week if not more. Many times can be good for 20 to 80+ points in a melt-up like that... stop right under entry, if stopped out, no big deal, can be a high-R trade for sure.
The assumption was that anyone interested in this methodology which was clearly labelled "buy or sell the pullbacks in a trend" and reference made to free instruction relative to this approach to trading, would take the time to browse it and sign up for the newsletter and free ebooks. Or just research buy / sell pullbacks etc. Whatever. This seems to be a symptom of the problem, which is that peeps want to be spoon-fed the magic solution so they have to do no work on their own whatsoever. Log in, download, have magic system bot trade, make millions, no work required. Unfortunately not the way it works.
As stated, the method is drop-dead simple, reliable, and robust. I take money out of the market every day. No indicators required, or can use 'em if desired. Whatever. Still take losses occasionally, but no success in trading without an edge. Over many repetitions utilizing an edge, should see consistent favorable results. Read books or view video on Mark Douglass. Study congestions, rotations, ranging price action in extreme detail. That right there really is the secret. For me anyway.
llmflyfisher, The only time you use the word "entry" is when you describe a situation Not to.
Again, What Entry TRIGGER serves you well?
Think in terms of ___..."My Entry Trigger(s) = badda bing, badda Boom".
