Why do longer term traders hate day traders

Maybe it's jealousy.
I mean given a choice, would you rather be a "gunslinger" or sitting in a rocking chair sipping your Geritol and reading the WSJ?

Because they make money and most daytraders don't.

Because they manage millions, even billions and most daytraders don't even have $100k in their accounts.

Because they are rich and famous and most daytraders fade into oblivion completely broke.

That's why.
