Why do I see "Trends" in Randomly Generated Data?

Hey that sounds familiar - multiple un-correlated systems - I think is the term I have used in other threads.

So MAESTRO has 200 intraday auto trading bots/ mechanical systems/ games (call them what you will) on the go, I assume over many global markets. All based on math and logic, however different math and logic to those that use daily or weekly time frames and find "trends" like ProfLogic and myself.

I fail to understand why ET agrue the semantics of skinning a cat, when there are so many ways to achieve the same ends - profit. I say, use them all.

You see "Trends" in Randomly Generated Data. Don't feel bad, so does Burton Malkiel (ARWDWS chapter 6). Mark Brown sees "Trends" in rolls of the dice (link1) and in spins of the roulette wheel (link2)

Me, I look at price charts of commodities and sometimes I see "Trends" too! We're all delusional, but in slightly different ways.
