Why do folks reveal Profitable Strategies, are they NUTS?

<i>"One thing you can be sure of is that if someone has written a book about a trading strategy or published on the web about one, that strategy is no better than random. All profitable strategies are kept secret, they are not published, they are not patented "</i>

I always get a good laugh out of absolute statements that just aren't true. One thing about basic human nature / logic, it is the third constant along with death & taxes :>)

Thats absolutely true

That is nearly almost always true.

And if its not true, it soon will be as soon as enough market participants start using the system.

Nobody reveals profitable trading strategies. One thing you can be sure of is that if someone has written a book about a trading strategy or published on the web about one, that strategy is no better than random. All profitable strategies are kept secret, they are not published, they are not patented and they are only spoken about in the most general terms.

Monumental difference between "strategy" and "system". Not mere semantics... they are miles apart.

Now fix your "that's" so it is grammatically correct
It's hard to believe I spent 2 years in Japan teaching English... an entire generation ruined by my frequent trips to Soapland and the Gaijin bars
