Why did Tony Farmer think he was so special to not get time?

So I see this video, but can't find much details about the case online. Apparently he collapsed in court because he got 3 years in prison for kidnapping, assault, robbery and other crimes. I would love to know more about this case before I decide if he "deserves" it, but apparently it was bad enough that a jury found him guilty of all counts. Apparently though, he thought he was going to get off.

He had probably assumed since his parents voted for Obama that he'd be acquitted. Eric Holder is probably working on his appeal as we speak.

Or, he thought he would get probation because it was only his 3rd attempt at kidnapping.

I like the guy that just popped the cyanide capsule when he heard the guilty verdict. I think a cyanide capsule dispenser should be on every criminal defendants court table. Just in case they want to plead guilty to God and get it over with.

What a novel idea. Maybe even offer different flavors, for the sake of diversity of course.

Can you imagine the millions of dollars that it would save in incarceration costs and appeals costs that the taxpayers have to pick up?

This is a much better way to take the news. Save the poor taxpayer some money and take your medicine.

He should have received no jail time. After all, he can play basketball. They ought to amend the Constitution to say that if the jail time you have to serve for committing a felony, interferes with your chances of playing a game, then you shall receive no jail time at all.

Just think if Obama had a son, this is what he would look like.

I hear they naturally come in almond flavor.

btw: Peach pits have high concentrations of cyanide and some people have found this out the hard way.

The seeds of Prunus dulcis var. dulcis are predominately sweet,[23][24] but some individual trees produce seeds that are somewhat more bitter. The fruits from Prunus dulcis var. amara are always bitter as are the kernels from other Prunus species like apricot, peach and cherry (to a lesser extent).

The bitter almond is slightly broader and shorter than the sweet almond, and contains about 50% of the fixed oil that occurs in sweet almonds. It also contains the enzyme emulsin which, in the presence of water, acts on a soluble glucoside, amygdalin, yielding glucose, cyanide and the essential oil of bitter almonds, which is nearly pure benzaldehyde. Bitter almonds may yield from 4–9 mg of hydrogen cyanide per almond.[25][26] Extract of bitter almond was once used medicinally, but even in small doses, effects are severe, and in larger doses can be deadly; the cyanide must be removed before consumption.[27]

All commercially grown almonds are of the "sweet" variety.
