Why Democrats [keep] Losing

I don't think the super rich (who drive the bulk of campaign donations) even care about this tax. As we saw in France a few years ago, when the tax rate goes up the very wealthy simply move their assets out of the country and evade the higher taxes. This usually leads to a reduction in total tax revenue collected.

Hard to do for the CEO/banker crowd. US citizens are taxed on worldwide income anyway, unlike the French, so even if you go offshore, you still get taxed on your compensation.

Yet, they are still pitching offshore and other asset/income hiding schemes to the very wealthy. Those who think this had ended in the U.S. with the recent settlements from Wall Street firms for doing this -- are going to hear about happening once again.

I am done using superlative adjectives to describe the leadership of the Democratic Party. This can no longer be incompetence, but collusion and/or conspiracy against the american people.

Judge for yourself:

Pelosi: 'Unimportant' to win midterm elections

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Sunday said it is "unimportant" for Democrats to win the midterm elections in 2018.

During an appearance on "Fox News Sunday," host Chris Wallace asked Pelosi to estimate the chances that Democrats win back the lower chamber back in 2018 and whether she would run again for speaker if they did.

"That's so unimportant. What is important is that we have the lively debate on a better deal," Pelosi said...
