Why complicate things?

%%
THAT's STRANGE;
but to do that with $10k you must be debt free. Or perhaps have a budget +small mortgage+ reasonable or low property taxes/LOL:D
I'm rereading Tony Oz short term trading[dark cover] book; he seldom did overnite trades+ swept his short account every week. But as for seldom doing overnite trades, that was just after 1999, QQQ cash ran up about >> 101%, ...307% in TQQQ, which i dont even remember if they had tqq then...................................................................................................
Investors make million$,[billions a s a group ]by not sweeping account everY 7 days

My first task was to replace my consulting income. I have done that.

Next task is to get to 8 digits.

These things take time :)

From where? 7 digits or is that your long term goal?

These things take time :)
Especially when you don't compound.

Why.....with the short term?
With swing trading the risk can be much lower than the possible profit.
..... Day trading... price noise, getting an edge above 50/50 is quite a feat.
finally threw in the towel.
I've tried everything and nothing works consistently.
I would appreciate any advice

I SELDOM daytrade+ when i do\as you partly hinted , TOO EASY to lose money\LOL
I've been try to buy tqqq all week/ finally got a small starting position\ daytrades seldom allow much scale up or the market may pUnish me like a moron adding more on.
And as far as even using leverage @ all\ i seldom do anything swing/position trading/investing with out some cash ETFs; so less is more sometimes.
Another big problem with short term trading waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more bid\asks spreads.........................................................................................
SWING /position trading works coinsistantly/just dont try to make big round numbers ALL the time /even though that can work aboVe 200dma.I dont consider my JAN losses disproving my statement; good thing i took a hunk out in DEC to buy an AsianAmerican auto...................................................................................................................And good thing i took cash out in DEC+cut back in JAN 'cause i did not know the BIG 200dma trend changed:caution::caution::caution::caution::caution::caution:,:caution::caution::caution::caution:

there is no noise in prices, its all information, you just dont know how to process it, therefore it appears as noise.

Correct. Probability theory is the math you use to describe a set of values where you don't understand the function creating them.

Nah, your a fucking retard , uncertainty is not removable , Heisenberg complementary. Now your brain makes up a sense of certainty cause it evolved to do so. QED

right. past 2 weeks, crude oil was moving in a big range.
it could go up and down a few times a day.
it is not flipping a coin actually.

unfortunately, there were quite a few days where the
movement was rather choppy/messy/untrendy.
so that made day trading rather difficult.

When Nymex, Shanghai INE, ICE crude oil futures move in tandem,
the crude oil market tends to be trendy (ie not choppy).

nonchoppy/trendy market - very easy to trade
choppy market - guaranteed 1000% sure lose money
Chop on a daily or 240minute chart can be fine trading on a 5m chart.
That's why I question the accuracy of the premise that there's more noise on a shorter timeframe chart.
