WHY cant I stay logged in?

Guys, I formatted my HD and installed win98 instead of that horrible ME and now I have to log in every time. Didnt have to do that before. I DID export all the cookies and favourites before doing so and I imported them into IE.

WHats the catch??

Alex you imported your cookies but are they turned on? What is the security setting for Internet Explorer? You must allow cookies to be logged in.

Do you mean logon to Windows? If that's the case, it's because you have your network settings configured to logon. Right click on My Network, click Properties, and select Client For Microsoft Networks. I think there is a setting in there to turn off the login. (I did this from memory, so the instructions aren't precise).

Do you have the same IE updates as before? Different versions handle cookies differently, using different folders or so. I don't know. Could be other settings as well in Internet options (content).
