Why can't I sell short????

Was unable to short ASKJ on Interactive Brokers on Wednesday. Did get some short in another account. It was available for short sale again on Thursday with IB.

Is this some signal or indicator telling us something about a stock? (not necessarily this one)

Can anything be divined or prediction made when one sees this?

When the broker runs out of available borrowable stock, you can't short it. Can happen with any stock, at any broker.

One of the gurus on the Bulls and Bears Fox show mentioned that ASKJ had run up over 1000 %

Maybe this is why it is hard to borrow????????????

i agree, why do you want to short something clearly in a strong uptrend; because you THINK it ran too far too fast...
