TD Ameritrade and Scottrade are both hiring. Since you already have a series 7 license, you should be able to get an interview with either or both of them.

and how many resumes do you think PIMCO got for that ad? finding ads isn't hard, landing an interview is a bit more difficult. do not list salary requirements on your resume! i have never seen this on the thousands of resumes i have reviewed.

I have an economics degree from Stony Brook University with a 3.72 GPA. I have good experience, including a Series 7 and 63. I have been out of school for a year and a half now searching for a full time salaried position and have had zero interviews. I have sent out thousands upon thousands of resumes, not one call back.
My resume is good. I have had it reviewed by dozens of people, including some in charge of hiring at financial companies, although none that were in a position to help me in more then advice.
I know I am a great candidate. I am a fast learner and was at the top of all my classes, but can not get my foot in the door anywhere. I have used every contact I have to no avail (including some big names).
Will someone tell me where they are hiding the job listings that actually call you in for interviews so I can show how good I really am?
Ten years ago, companies were hiring anyone with a pulse. Today, things are different. His trouble getting an interview probably has little to do with salary requirements and more to do with a lack of relevant experience. He's just going to have to wait it out and find something else.Quote from JJacksET4:
I am fairly sure I had a range on mine when I got my current job (about 10 years ago). I may have put it in the cover letter - I don't remember.
Unlikely. He would have to go back and take a bunch of biology and chemistry courses that weren't part of his undergrad. Plus, he'd still be competing with people who hold biology and pre-med degrees. In most other countries, you can go straight to med-school after secondary school. That isn't the case in the US.Quote from Sam Mcgee:
In Canada you can get admission to medical school with any degree, not just a science degree. Is it the same there?
