Why can't americans admit they messed up the economy?

Sort of sad really
The USA had nearly everything going their way and mostly blew it themselves by over reacting to provocation.
Bankrupted themselves over a few looney terrorists (911 only had 24 semi-literate terrorists and taken overall did little damage - 2 buildings out of a total of millions ).
Remember Mohamed Ali ? He let the bigger guy punch himself out in his ropey dopey strategy. Well same strategy and the big guy ( USA ) are still punching themselves out over Afghanistan, Iraq etc. Simple strategy but that dope Bush fell right into the trap - hook, line and sinker and too stupid to see it ! Oh dear !

The average American has nothing to do with it. It was the banks.
And the Banks won't admit to shit, because they've been a rogue-criminal outfit, all along!
But yes, it was American Banks and Wallstreet who did this. They're responsible.

America didn't single-handedly "mess up the economy". Its' crisis merely pulled the curtain off the global sham economy as they're exposed for what they are -- over-leveraged, undiversified, built on sand: Central/Eastern Europe, Russia, Japan, Germany, China, UK, Ireland, the Baltic states, Iceland, Spain and the list goes on.
At the same time, a lot of the so-called "surplus" export wonder nations are now feeling like dope dealers living an expensive lifestyle who suddenly find out that their crack addict client base is financially broke.

Every generation born to this earth from the beginning of time is told by their parents that there are evil groups out there who are waiting to destroy them. These children are told they must spend part of their lives preparing to stop these groups from taking over their turf. Those among them who grow in stature politically and in wealth commercially use this knowledge against the populace.
Politicians and the rich from the beginning of time realize the only way to keep their power and wealth is to throw âstonesâ at those who are or who appear mightier in any way using what is called the âblame gameâ. They discovered by redirecting hatred to another known group it absolves them of wrong doing or ineptitude of their own part. This casts off the responsibilities from them and allows them to continue to trample the peasants and traders under foot all the while masking the true problems and their inadequacies.
Medias in last century have twisted the âblame gameâ to levels not seen in centuries. We now see characterizations of individual citizenry from each country as causing the ills of the world. The American is a rich financialist who loves destroying the world economy. The Saudi or Russian loves to choke off oil movement to the rest of the world especially to the U.S. and Europe. The Iranian is a nuclear fanatic who wants to start WWIII. The Chinese are out to destroy world industry and keep it for themselves. It is no coincidence that the rich and powerful who own large media produce these kinds of characterizations.
For the next 100 years it is going to be critical how the blame game is played with the world population at 6.77 billion and growing. America having reached its peak of economic and military power, but now on the down slope, will continue to be a prime target for every political jackal and media mogul in the world. America will be seen by all as the corrupt giant that is fleecing the world. Examples such as this will be the only way to keep a world population in check as its resources are depleted. Hatred, Riots and Wars will be the norm as politicians and the rich increasingly channel off levels of frustration in any direction that works with their populace to avoid anarchy and collapse of their governments. Remember governmentâs role is to keep government going and not to support the populace.
Traders are the most emotionally controlled group in business. Which leads to the question âWhere does all that pent up emotional energy go to?â Well I think I found it all being released in this thread playing the blame game. This blame game the politicians and the rich play is no different than in trading. It is far easier to blame what is external than to take a deep look with in ourselves or our country and see the real truth.

I destroyed the world's economy, get over it. When America was asking for help in Afghanistan and Iraq... well the response from all you guys was pretty pathetic... hey Australia and Ukranians, Brits too, they did their part... so currently I'm pulling the levers usually reserved for German Royal families of long standing to make sure that in the race to the currency bottom, the US, Brits, Aussies and funny looking short but really mean guys from Ukraine will have lots of bucks... I can do this because I'm a Jew and I actually rule over the German Royalty, don't tell them though, they are pretty happy the way they are and really, they are a likable bunch when you get to know them...

It couldn't be said better. It was funny to hear European officials complaining about U.S. spending. What I want to say is it seems to me Europe (in reality) is scared of Obama just as much as I am. If Negro has his way Yank's demand will never come back.
Second imagine U.S. government starting to compete for healthcare services, products with other Western governments in case of nationalizing HC in the U.S..

Greenspan over-reacted to Y2K, the internut bust, 9/11 - with negative real interest rates you were forced to try and maintain or increase the purchasing power of your wealth/income. this produced mal-investment & over-leverage. The US FED is seen as the leader - it did start here. The IBs ran with it & the rating agencies played along so the virus was passed throughout the global financial system. we started it, we spread it and now everyone is eating it. Greenspan is the devil.
