Why can't americans admit they messed up the economy?

eddie nobody is hating on america, its about personal responsibility. Its a cornerstone of american values. The majority of the blame for the current crisis goes to americans. Everybody. The reason is that everybody wanted cheap credit, bigger houses, cheap goods, and everybody wanted tobe rich quick. Tearning down rules from mergers to credit rules, and creating new business models that didnt work. If you dont look in the mirror and say I screwed up, your going to make the same mistakes over and over again. Less then 3 years after the .com bubble you got the housing bubble, then the credit bubble, and learning nothing from the great depression. if americans dont take the reigns of responsiblity, and fix up their mess, its going to happen again. The foundations of an economy arent built on bubbles.

Mah-ram,

we gave you electricity, oil, combustible engine, modern medicine, airlines, computers, ( that you are using now,,haha,)catscans, nuclear medicine, MRI, anibiotics, keyboards, software, cd, did i mention just about all modern medicine that may save your life one day, polio vaccine, cancer treatments, contacts lenses, breasts implants, Air Jordans, lol, heart valves, brain surgery, and not last but not least, Baywatch,,,etc... must i go on.

When we basically shared all these things with " you guys" , did we scold you for being a dumbass for not thingking about it first,or having the capability to make it, no, we made friends and sold it to you or gave it to you.

So we have a 2-3 year cyclical economic turndown and you want us to feel bad about it.

Turn off all the lights in your house, turn your tv off, throw your toilet out the window, along with your fridge, oven, microwave,computer-internet and toaster, pretty much every modern convienece and say hello to the year 1850. .....without USA,, there is where you would be.

Please send that message to the Administration, CONgress, and BS Bernanke..

Why am I not surprised that you won't take a stand on an obviously racist comment that it sure looks like you've been defending? You did mention the comment here BTW so don't pretend the discussion wasn't about it... that just makes you look like a coward. Go hump someone else's leg.

I don't care whether that comment was racist. I never mentioned that comment in my posts. The discussion we had had nothing to do with his statements.

Honestly, why would I begin accusing somebody of racism? I could care less if people are racists. I rarely accuse anyone of anything - why would I? It leads to nothing, as this thread only confirms. What do you gain from him or I "admitting" he is? Nothing but a minor ego boost.

I was never defending him. As I said, I exclusively commented upon the definition that you promoted.

You're hiding again cesspool. Is the following comment of yours a racist statement or not? Yes or no?

Let's vote for a black guy because we all know how well blacks (generally speaking) can manage their affairs. The whole Africa is kind of testimony for that.

Of course you are dishonest phony idiot and racist. When I use example from real life (remember Chicago South Side) you call it "stupid theoretical construct", I understand what else can you say? You have no freaking argument! Of course you wouldn't move into a black neighborhood to "enjoy cheap living".

Would you move to a black neighborhood (like Chicago's SS) to save money on housing?
Yes or no?

I dont understand why americans can't admit that they messed up the whole world economy?

Okay, I admit I messed up the economy. I shouldn't of did it but I couldn't help myself. Are you happy now?

Look cesspool... you made this statement before I called you on it... so tell us why it's not racist or admit that it is and I'll be happy to tear down your stupid neighborhood argument. What I'm not going to do is let you slime out of this by shifting the focus to me instead. So answer my question or STFU.

Let's vote for a black guy because we all know how well blacks (generally speaking) can manage their affairs. The whole Africa is kind of testimony for that.

Your reply should come first since you make a moral judgement, I don't.

Then why not comment on what he said? Do you think this is a racist statement or not?
