Why avoid the open?

i dont need alan farley, or professional B or C or D or anyone to trade or not to trade the open. I like the open not becaue somebody told me to like it but i prove profitability and predictability. and thats all I need.

Dont always follow books, believe me, there is a lot to be made on the open. Just need to learn how to play it.

I avoid the first 15 minutes, I believe many books tell you to avoid the first 15 minutes, not the first hour, first 15 minutes are usually kept back by reversals into 10

Never heard of a book telling you to avoid the whole hour 9:30 - 10:30

thats quite long to avoid :D

theres many reasons why to avoid the first 15 minutes,
people who want to trade the first 15 minutes fine.

There's also one good reason to trade the first 15 minutes: MONEY.

An ET gem.

Ahhh.....The simple posts on ET.....Usually always the best. So, many will skip right over what you are telling them because you're not trying to mystify, appear to be a trading genius, etc. And they'll keep on giving away their money. Ah, life goes on.....

so, are we discussing the opening order strategies or just being there for the open and trading from there?

there are firms and strategies outlined on these threads in detail regarding OPG orders.

I think these are 2 different things?
