Why are you posting on ET?

Being an advocate for Truth and Beauty in an environment that can stimulate a full spectrum of human emotions per unit of time.

... also paying it forward for the value received from content of older, wiser traders sharing their knowledge and experience freely, quite life changing !!

I have asked myself this recently. Why do I have the urge to post? Helping others is one of the reasons but I am not sure I have enough expertise to even offer my "advise" in most cases. So what I'm leaning to is that posting here makes me think a bit deeper about the topic, express my opinions/beliefs, and have them challenged by you guys. Getting your beliefs challenged and even ridiculed is not something you can easily get somewhere else(people either don't care enough or try to be nice). What's in it for you?

I came here with a group of guys from a trading office...a group of retail traders renting an office space together for several years. A few are still here which is why I'm still posting although we now live in different parts of the country (world).

I'll stop posting here when I'm the last one left from the group or I'm dead (the latter almost happen once in late 2016).

Once in awhile you may read something useful to make it worthwhile to be here even though you may have eventually come across the same info elsewhere online even if its not related to trading.

80% because its constructive to have alternative views to my own on trading - helps me improve my strategies and find new ones
