Any child suffering is horrible but what are the actual number of hospitalized cases nationwide? We always hear about percentages of increase, X times the number..... but what is the number?
I was under the belief that cases among children, even with the mentioned increase was still a very very small percentage of the adolescent population.
I posted the numbers and percentages a month ago. I've also focused on specific states that I have a connection to and posted the numbers / percentages of those states.
- It does not matter if children's Covid hospitalization is a small percentage of the adolescent population hospitals. What matters was the increasing hospitalization at Pediatric hospitals.
In addition, I've concentrated on specific pediatric hospitals that were running out of beds...resulting in them sending pediatric (children) to other hospitals in other states or sent to adult hospitals.
Also, I prefer to concentrate on specific children's hospitals that had a detailed story about one of their child patients on a ventilator / coma from a severe Covid illness even though it's rare that a child dies but some do die.
- I will not keep reposting the information (jem's bullshit game of asking someone to keep reposting numbers that he can easily look up on his own), especially in threads by individuals that called Covid a Hoax last year and now posting misinformation about Covid vaccines.
By the way, the numbers are scary in their increases depending upon the state.
Scary enough that it reminds me of a long message post I posted early last year in the Pandemic to some of the Covid deniers here at ET in which I essentially stated the government will overstep its control if a
Variant of Concern (I referred to it as a dangerous mutation) shows up and begins targeting younger adults and children.
I will (it did) result in rising hospitalization of children on ventilators or in a coma...it will freak out anyone including freaking out the government / state agencies.
Here we are because the shit has hit the fan.

P.S. Good news...Covid numbers are declining
after the recent government mandates although we should have
never reached this point to have the government getting involved had we been more responsible in doing our
civic duty to kick Covid in the ass in the first 3 months when vaccines became available.
